Tuesday afternoon softball continued for GMLOK, but in game two they came up just short. They fell to a very talented number 2 seeded Zumbrota-Mazeppa team in an elimination game 7-5.

Z-M jumped out to a 4-0 lead, using some heads up base running to their advantage. GMLOK came right back in the fourth, when Courtney Fate drew a walk with the bases loaded to bring in a run, and then Hattie Voigt reached via a fielders choice, and a sacrifice fly Kellyn Webster helped GMLOK score three runs, making the score 4-3.

Z-M bounced back with two runs of their own in the fourth to take a 6-3, but the Bulldogs were not going anywhere as they scored another two runs in the fifth. They got a two RBI single from Fate, which brought the Bulldogs within one, 6-5. Z-M plated a run in the sixth, and the Bulldogs were unable to come up with a run of their own in the final two frames, as the Cougars edged them 7-5.

The KVGO Player of the Game was Gracie Schmidt for GMLOK while Briana Albers locked it up for Z-M.
