Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police say an altercation between two teenage boys turned deadly.

Lieutenant Jim Evenson says officers rushed to the Domino’s Pizza restaurant at 4125 East Frontage Road Northwest near the 41st Street interchange on Highway 52 after receiving 911 calls about a stabbing in the parking lot of the business around 12:35 AM.

When they arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a stab wound to his chest. The teenager was rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital, but efforts to save him were unsuccessful. He has been identified as Jose Jesus Negrete of Rochester.

A second 15-year-old boy was delivered to the hospital’s emergency room in a private vehicle with a stab wound on his neck. He underwent surgery and was last reported in stable condition.

Lieutenant Evanson says more than one knife was recovered by investigators, and while there were a number of other teenagers at the scene of the stabbing, investigators have not uncovered any evidence that indicates anyone other than the two 15-year-old boys were involved in the deadly fight.

The name of the injured teenager has not been released.
