Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police are reporting the arrest of a man for a hit and run Friday afternoon that injured a pedestrian.

A spokesperson says officers were called to the Colonial Lanes Bowling Alley shortly before 3:45 PM in response to reports that a vehicle had crashed into the building and then struck a pedestrian. The person hit by the vehicle was transported to St. Marys Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A short time later, police received a call about a damaged vehicle in a ditch in the 4000 block of 7th Street Northwest in the Country Club Manor Neighborhood and the caller witnessed a man stumbling away from the vehicle. The motorist, later identified as 36-year-old Bunrith Choun, went to a nearby residence and called to report the crash.

The spokesperson says Choun was arrested without incident around 4:40 PM and is being held in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center on suspicion of Criminal Vehicular Operation involving alcohol.
