Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who was drunk when he crashed his car into several parked vehicles has pleaded guilty to a DUI charge.

55-year-old Lawrence Rust was placed on probation for two years and ordered to complete 60 hours of community work service.

The incident happened January 5th in downtown Rochester.

Police said he was driving at a high rate of speed on 5th St SW when he crossed 1st Avenue, went through a parking lot, crossed all lanes of Broadway and finally came to a stop after crashing into five cars that were parked at the Eastman Auto Repair Shop. Rust told officers the accelerator stuck.
