Put your BBQ Skills to the Test During Ag Days

Do you pride yourself in making the ultimate grilled pork chop? Do your BBQ ribs make folks drool? Then put your BBQ skills to the test during Spring Valley Ag Days!

The contest will be held Sunday August 21 at the South Park Pavilion in Spring Valley. Entry fee is $40 and meat will be provided. You must bring your own grill, seasonings and meat thermometer. Sign in at 8 a.m.; judging begins at 2:30 p.m. Here's a bonus - samples will be available to the public after judging! Canton Day Off is holding the Boomer Backyard BBQ Cook Off August 19-20. Unfortunately, it appears you needed to sign up by July 11. Not sure if that is a "carved in stone" rule. If you're interested, maybe you can give Jim a call at 507-743-8436 to see it's too late.
