The snow had melted, the sun was out, it was a Sunday afternoon.  The perfect time to take a drive to the new Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery located on 169 acres just outside of Preston on Highway 52.  Ground broke November 8, 2013.  The first veterans were laid to rest November 11, 2015. A Memorial Day 2016 dedication is planned.

The site is awe-inspiring and the views are breathtaking.  Preston's Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery is a beautiful and well- deserved site for our veterans to have their final resting place.
