The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office is doing the cutest thing for their most adorable new deputy!

You might have heard the news earlier this summer about the cutest soon-to-be member of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office-- an adorable new K-9 deputy named Hulk. He was born back in May adopted from Paws and Claws Humane Society right here in Rochester earlier this summer. (You can read the story behind Hulk joining the ranks here in Olmsted County HERE.)

Hulk, who's a Plott-Hound and Labrador mix, was introduced as a soon-to-be member of the Sheriff's Office in Olmsted County back in July. But today, they're doing the cutest thing for Hulk: They're throwing a Puppy Shower!

That's right, a Puppy Shower. Well, it's actually a cool chance for you to meet this cutie-- and to help make a donation to the Rochester/Olmsted K9 unit as well. It's happening Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 at the Rochester Pet & Country Store on 3rd Avenue SE.

According to a post on the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, unlike a typical bridal or baby shower where you might bring a present for the soon-to-be-married or soon-to-be-a-mom, Hulk isn't requesting presents like chewies or toys, but a monetary donation.

"Stop by for cake courtesy of Hy-Vee and meet the newest member of the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit! Instead of gifts, Hulk is requesting monetary donations to the Olmsted-Rochester Law Enforcement K-9 Foundation - so as he grows the foundation can meet his needs," the post says.

So, here's to you, Hulk! Thanks for your (soon-to-be) service to our community!
