Some of the premier teams in college basketball will hit the floor at the Mayo Civic Center to determine the National Champion.

The NCAA Division III Women's Championship hits the floor in Rochester on March 16th and 17th, as some of the best teams in the nation will fight it out for the top spot.

The NCAA is stoked to come to Southeast Minnesota, where basketball roots run deep.

“We’re excited to go to this part of the country and try out a new site,” Kelly Whitaker, Assistant Director of Championships and Alliances for the NCAA said. “We like mid-sized cities, and Rochester is an ideal-sized city for this and is located in a great area for basketball.”

Dr. Nikki Fennern, Director of Athletics at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, is co-hosting the event with the NCAA, and is excited for the fans to get a great experience.

“People will love the level of competition and watching how hard these student-athletes work. We don’t know which four schools will make it to the championship weekend yet, but we do know there will be great stories of these women both on and off the court. They’re not only great basketball players, but leaders in their classrooms and in their communities.”

Single-day tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for youth, students, and seniors. All-sessions tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for youth, students, and seniors.
