Make A Child Smile By Donating To Toys For Tots

Have you seen these posters around your town?  The US Marine Corps Reserve is in the midst of their annual Toys for Tots campaign.

Since its inception in 1947, Toys for Tots has been collecting toys to distribute to families whose children might not otherwise receive presents. Can you imagine being a child and waking up on Christmas morning only to find no presents under your tree?  It breaks my heart to think that some sweet boy or girl will not experience the wide-eyed wonder of Santa Claus' visit.  B&B Bowl in Preston is a drop off point this year for Toys for Tots. Now through December 15, you can donate new, unwrapped toys.  When I dropped off my donation, I was sad to see there was only one other toy in the box.  I purchased my toys at Dollar Tree in Rochester.  Ten dollars spent equals ten gifts of coloring books, crayons, and cute reindeer antler headbands.
