The Mabel-Canton Cougars and Rushford-Peterson Trojans really got the offense going in the second half, and the Cougars were able to hold off a late push from the Trojans to get a 56-53 win in a unique Wednesday night showdown.

Defense reigned supreme in the first half, as neither team could get the offense going. In the second half, a jolt of energy shot through the offenses, as shots really started to fall. Mabel-Canton then went on a 14-1 run to build their lead up to 46-39. The Trojans worked their way back into the game, but Mabel-Canton was able to hit free throws down the stretch to secure the win.
