It's been 45 years since the premiere of the "Little House on the Prairie" tv show, that brought to life the books written by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I watched the series as a young child, and can still watch today, thanks to cable television and internet streaming. Not only can you watch the show, you can visit some of the locations where the Ingalls and Wilder families lived.

This weekend, July 12-14, 2019, there is a planned cast reunion taking place in Walnut Grove for all, especially the "Little House" fans. They will have autograph sessions with some of the stars of the show, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum will be open, a family festival, Laura/Nellie look-a-like contests, and more. Of course, Pa Ingalls won't be there (may Michael Landon rest in peace), but, Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson) and Dean Butler (Almanzo Wilder) are just two of the confirmed stars who will attend.

Just over two hours away, not a bad day trip to see some memorabilia from the show and books. And, you could get a chance to meet with some of the actors who made Laura Ingalls Wilder's characters come to life. There is a Facebook page for the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum with an even more detailed agenda for the weekend happenings.

I am definitely going to have to make the trek over to Walnut Grove to check out the Museum, even if I don't get over there this weekend for the cast reunion.
