The Lewiston-Altura Cardinals kept their undefeated season alive with a nice 3-1 win over Chatfield Tuesday night on Cool 104.

The Cardinals took set one 25-15, but the Gophers were able to bounce back and tied it after a 25-22 win in set two. Both teams were challenging at the net and did a good job in their rotations, but it all changed in the third set.

The Cardinals went on a 20-2 run in the third set to take it 25-7, led by Ciarra McNally and Myia Ruzek to help take a 2-1 set lead, then the Cardinals finished out with a 25-12 set win in the fourth and final set.

It was a great performance from McNally, who finished with 12 kills, and Ruzek who finished with 13. The Gophers had some great play from Paige Erickson who finished with 10 kills and helped the offense roll.

It was a great serving performance for Lewiston-Altura on Tuesday night in which they were able to keep the Gophers off balance and ride the serving to the final two-set wins. Ruzek was the Kingsley Mercantile Game Ball winner.

The Cardinals moved to 11-0 on the season with the win, and the Gophers fell to 6-8.
