It was Senior Night at Kingsland and the Knights' seniors were the story all match long as they came away with the 3-0 sweep over LeRoy-Ostrander last night on 103.1 KFIL 25-21, 25-22 and 25-12.

The Cardinals were not going to back down as they came to play in each set. Yet, the Knights were just able to capitalize on a couple of errors on LeRoy-Ostrander that helped propel them to the win.

The Knights jumped out to a 14-6 lead in set 1 before the Cardinals came storming back to take a 15-14 lead. Kingsland was able to regroup and got a couple of big kills from Lauren Buchholtz and Nora Jahn to get the set one win.

Set two was a different story. The Knights were in control throughout, but the resilient Cardinals weren't going down without a fight. Trailing 24-16, L-O was able to score six straight points, getting some big-time blocks from Lauren Helgeson to make it 24-22, but the Knights were able to get the win 25-22.

Kingsland used the momentum from the first two thrilling set wins to take advantage early in set three en route to a 25-12 win and sweep.

The Knights moved on to 12-13 with the win while the Cardinals fell to 4-12.

Buchholtz led the way for Kingsland with 13 kills while Jahn added in eight. Helgeson had four for LeRoy-Ostrander while Haley Hungerholt added three.
