KFIL and KVGO are happy to announce that we have an Interim Sports Director, Ben Aberg.  Ben has worked at KFIL since August 2015 wearing several hats.  He has manned the board during sports broadcasts as a game time engineer, has pulled shifts as an on-air announcer and has called color and play-by-play for our game broadcasts.  Ben is no stranger to KFIL or sports!
On a personal note, Ben graduated from Mabel-Canton school in 2010 where he played baseball and basketball.  While attending Bethany Lutheran College, he wrote sports articles for the BLC Vikings website, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in communications. Before completing his degree, Townsquare Media-Rochester hired Ben as an intern.  One of his duties was sitting in the press box and writing game summaries for Rochester Honkers baseball games.  When he's not working, and we plan to work him hard, you can catch Ben playing a vintage baseball game with the Lanesboro Excelsiors.
We're happy to have Ben join the KFIL team and hope you will welcome him to the sports community!
