It's been a banner day at KFIL! On June 27, 1966, KFIL broadcast over the airwaves for the first time. Thus, today is our 50th anniversary! We've been celebrating all day. This morning we had the esteemed honor of being presented with the key to the City of Preston from Mayor Kurt Reicks. City Administrator Joe Hoffman also paid us a visit, too!

We had cupcakes, messages on Facebook from well-wishers, phone calls and even an hour of broadcasting like they did in the "old days" sans computer! Check out our windows painted by the very talented Sally Gibson, owner of Sally's Hair to Dye For in Preston.

Thank you to our loyal listeners and valued clients for supporting us for fifty years. Without you, we would not be able to bring you high school sports broadcasts, Sunday worship services, coverage of town events, ag programming and the very best in true country music. Here's to another 50 years!
