Hear Ye, Hear Ye – Prepare for Another Snowstorm!
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Here we go again. Once again, Rochester is facing the threat of a significant snowstorm.
The National Weather Service says the storm has the potential to dump several inches of snow across parts of SE Minnesota Wednesday. A winter storm warning will be in effect as the snow could linger into Wednesday night.
If the forecast holds, this month will go into the record books as the snowiest April ever. So far this month, the city’s official snowfall total is 13 inches. The April record is 16.4 inches, set in 1982.
Also, this has been a very cold April.
The daily average temperature has been below normal EVERY day this month. The NWS says Rochester has experienced the coldest first half of April on record with an average daily temperature of only 26.2 degrees. Normally this time of the year, the average high temperature is 58 degrees and the low is 37.
If it’s any consolation, Rochester may enjoy highs in the mid to upper 50s Sunday.
News update: Police release video of fugitive Lois Riess.
