This weekend, I will be spending a lot of time in the Peterson area, with the 36th Annual Gammel Dag Fest on Saturday.

The festivities begin at 8AM, with a parade of tractors. Then from about 10-4, there will be Norwegian folk art demonstrations, artists, vendors, horse and wagon rides, Peterson Station Museum tours (10-6), a gnome hunt, and I'm really interested in some Norwegian treats (it's been almost a month since I last ate lefse).

Of course, baseball will keep me there for a while. There is a little league tournament starting at 10:00, then I will be in uniform for my vintage baseball game. The Excelsiors will probably be warming up around 1:00 (Go Lanesboro!) And again, food. I'll have to enjoy some of the Chicken Dinner and hot dogs at 11:00, or wait until after I play for a Norwegian Specialty Pork Dinner. At 2:30, there will be nordic dance lessons, and at 4:00, musical entertainment continues with SOL.

Stick around for the evening parade at 6:00, then at 8:30, the Peterson American Legion Street Dance! Will a good time be had? You betcha!
