The Chatfield Gophers jumped out to an early lead against the Fillmore Central Falcons and never looked back for an 81-48 win Tuesday evening.

Chatfield was scoring in bunches early, as the Gophers led 24-2 to open up the game, getting early points from Josef Fahrenholtz and Landon Bance to get the early lead. Chatfield was able to utilize a 1-3-1 zone to put pressure on the Fillmore Central ball carries and create turnovers early.

Fillmore Central was able to settle things down a little bit and used dribble penetration to split the Gopher defense, but they just couldn't get early shots to fall, as if there was a tin on the lid of the bucket.

Chatfield's lead extended to 36-15 and they went into the break with a 40-18 lead. Fillmore Central was able to get a couple stops early in the second half, but couldn't capitalize with a run of their own and Chatfield was able to get the 81-48 win.

The Gophers had 11 different players find the score sheet, led by Fahrenholtz with 16 and 14 from Reid Johnson. Fillmore Central was led by Josh Peters with 11 points, while nine others found the score sheet for the Falcons.
