It took an extra four minutes for the Dover-Eyota boys basketball team to get their 47-42 win over Fillmore Central, and they did it all at the free throw line. The Eagles hit five of 10 free throws in the overtime period and improved their record to 3-9 for the season. Fillmore Central dropped below .500 at 5-6, overall.

A very ‘youthful’ D-E team was led by freshman Brady Williams (20 points) and sophomore Jack Studer (10 points).   Williams received POG honors for Dover-Eyota and Studer won the Kingsley Mercantile Game Ball Award. Head coach Tim Mayer started two sophomores (Studer and Brady Glynn), a freshman (Williams), one junior (Connor Martin) and one senior (Brady Pankonin).

Samuel Peters (FC’s POG) led the Falcons with 16 points, connecting on four three pointers and a pair of two’s, while Riley Means hit double-digits (10p) coming off the bench. FC is 1-5 in Three Rivers Conference play.
