It seems appropriate to share this today. Although I wasn't raised when the original trilogy of Star Wars came out, I still prefer it to anything else. Carrie Fisher is a huge reason why of that. She was a princess and a warrior all in one. She was elegant, but wasn't afraid to use a blaster and get her hands dirty.

In this video she is strong, persuasive and was basically a lock for the role once she sat down for the read. It is so believable, so pure and genuine. Give it a watch for yourself, thanks too WishItWas1984. The video was posted back in 2006, but has resurfaced today.

Not only was she awesome in Star Wars, she was also a very talented performer with roles in plenty of movies including the Blues Brothers, When Harry met Sally and The Man with One Red Shoe, which I really enjoyed.
