The Warriors were successful on the ground, through the air and pretty much every facet of the game. Paynesville Area struggled to move the ball, and the Warriors were able to take advantage.

Mason Staggemeyer started things off with a two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, and the Owen Kings connected on three-straight passes that ended up in the end zone.

The first one was to Andrew Goergen, Jordan Berg caught the second and then Goergen again.

That gave the the Warriors a 28-0 lead with 10:39 to go in the second quarter. The Warriors kept the foot on the gas in the second, scoring two more times. Staggemeyer ran in his second of the game, and then Nick McCabe followed suit, giving the Warriors a 42-0 lead at the half.

McCabe ran in his third score of the game on the Warriors first drive of the second half, and that about wrapped it up. The Bulldogs scored two late touchdowns, but the Warriors had it in hand.

Caledonia's defense was fantastic, allowing just 240 offensive yards for the Bulldogs, while the Warriors put up 408 of their own.

Caledonia will look to win their third state championship in a row on Friday, 11/24. Their opponent is TBD.
