The Caledonia Warriors defense was their bread and butter all season long, and it came through again for the Warriors as they won their 54th straight game and their 4th straight state title. They took down Barnesville 21-0 Friday afternoon at U.S Bank Stadium.

The Warriors defense was at work early, shutting down a good running game from the Trojans. Caledonia held Barnesville to 168 total yards, which were all on the ground. Yet, the Warriors couldn't find the end zone themselves. Barnesville's defense came ready to play and made big stops in the red zone early in this one, but the Warriors finally found the paydirt on a 22-yard run from Nick McCabe.

Being 7-0 at the break, the Warriors knew the defense was going to be the key again, and it was. The Trojans could not solve the Warriors' defense and with that Caledonia was able to run the clock down with a tough running game. Tate Meiners found the end zone in the 4th to make it a two-score game at 14-0, and then Payton Schott picked off a Barnesville pass and returned it for a touchdown to put an exclamation point on the fourth-straight state title for Caledonia.

McCabe finished with 115 rushing yards and score to lead the Warriors while Noah King finished with 34 yards.
