Where has the time gone

This week brought a lot of cold weather.  Aside from that though, we have had a busy week here at KFIL and KVGO Radio.

We aired the first Softball game for our coverage of the Spring Sports Season.  That game saw Fillmore Central/Lanesboro defeat GMLOK 7-6 in 8 Innings.  We also had our first weather delay for Spring Sports this week, gets back to that cold weather.  Once we have a make-up date for the Spring Grove and Mabel-Canton Baseball match-up, we will surely get the date and time up for that.

This week also brought a 3 game series at Target Field against the Cleveland Indians for the Minnesota Twins.  The Twins took 2 out of 3 games this week, bringing their record this year to 7-15.  Next up for them, a 3 game series at home against the Detroit Tigers.  That series gets underway tonight, starting at 6:30 PM.  Remember also, Twins games are heard just on your radio at 103.1FM

This week also brought the start of the NFL season, in a way.  The NFL draft got underway Thursday.  The Minnesota Vikings had the 23rd pick this year, and selected Wide Reciever Laquon Treadwell.  Adding yet another talented receiver to their squad. I have to say, this year does look promising for the Vikings, with a brand new stadium and some new talent.  Could this be their year?

This week also marked a day in history that many people I am sure remember, or have heard about, the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl Disaster.  April 26th of this week marked the day.  Affecting the lives of millions of people, an event most will never forget. Me being the history guy that I am, had to make a note of this to recognize what happened.

With the promise of a little warmer weather next week, get back to feeling like Spring and another full week of events happening on True Country KFIL and your Good Time Oldies Channel KVGO Cool 104.
