Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A former Rochester area woman has been sentenced to five years on probation for stealing over $100,000 from a family member.

The sentencing hearing for Ashley Marschel was held Monday on her 29th birthday. The Apple Valley woman, who was previously known as Ashley Dotzenrod, earlier entered an Alford plea to a charge of Financial Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult. That means she does not admit guilt, but acknowledges there is enough evidence to convict her.

She was accused of making over 140 transactions using the victim’s bank account and using his credit card over a dozen times after the man granted her Power of Attorney.
