Duluth, MN (Learfield Wire Services) -- A 36-year-old Lakeside man faces the possible revocation of his driver's license, after police say they caught him driving 171 miles-an-hour.

Officials say the unidentified man was arrested on the Highway 61 expressway between Duluth and Two Harbors on Friday night. Hermantown Deputy Police Chief Shawn Padden says he caught the Chevy Camaro driver while on loan from the State Patrol as part of a saturation enforcement campaign.

He says the car was a blur as it went by him, and he barely made it up to 135 just to get close enough to turn his emergency lights on. Padden says the driver stopped right away.

He faces a misdemeanor count of careless driving.
