Wabasha-Kellogg got a leadoff walk, and got another baserunner with two outs, but stranded both. The Falcons had another opportunity in the second. Rushford-Peterson pitcher Payton Hahn struck out the first two, but then W-K loaded the bases with two out before the groundout was induced. Another opportunity came in the third. Falcons pitcher Cooper Holtorf hit a triple to right field, and it looked like we would see runs on the scoreboard in the third. Hahn retired the next three though, to keep it scoreless.

R-P got their first baserunner with a leadoff hit by Ben Ansell in the 4th. He advanced to second on a walk to Carter Weidemann. Three batters later, Dawson Dahl delivered the base hit through the middle, and Ansell hustled home to make the score 1-0 in favor of the Trojans. That lead was short-lived.

In the bottom of the 4th, Mason Kuntz reached second on a tough grounder to short and a low throw. Max Kuntz was hit by a pitch, then two batters later, with runners advanced to second and third, Jackson Gosse hit the ball hard to third. Nolan Mueller dove, stopping the ball from going further down the line. Mueller spun back up and saw Max Kuntz between second and third. He chased, then threw to second for a tag play and out number two. Mason Kuntz scored on the play to tied it up 1-1. A caught stealing then ended the frame.

The Trojans, in a tie ballgame again, got the bases loaded with nobody out in the top of the 5th. Then a suicide squeeze bunt on a two-strike pitch missed, and another K from Cooper Holtorf ended the R-P threat.

Jamie Hewitt was hit by a pitch to start the Falcon 5th, advanced to second on a passed ball, and to third on a Cooper Holtorf hit. WIth one out, Zach Kjeseth hit a ground ball to second base. He was retired on the play, but also drove in the go-ahead run with it to make the score 2-1.

Rushford-Peterson's next threatcame in the top of the 7th. Shawn Marg led off with a hit, then Nolan Mueller worked a 9-pitch walk. Wabasha-Kellogg made a pitching cahnge, with Liam Blashko coming up 60 feet, 6 inches from behind the plate to atop the hill. Blashko retired the next three in order to get the save, and the Falcons win 2-1.

KVGO Player of the Game for Wabasha-Kellogg was Cooper Holtorf, who pitched 6 innings, allowing just one run on five hits, and struck out six.

KVGO Player of the Game for Rushford-Peterson was Nolan Mueller. Mueller had a great game on the hot corner, and reached base twice.

Again, R-P played at 3:00 as well.
