Bruce Fishbaugher's last day with KFIL is September 30 when he will officially hang the "gone fishing " sign on his office door.  I've worked with Bruce for 13 years and thought I knew a lot about him.  I wondered what little secrets he had.  I went to the person who knows Bruce best - his wonderful wife, Kathy.

Bruce and Kathy were high school sweethearts, have been together 51 years, married for 47.  Three children, ten grandchildren and two great grandsons.  Family is everything to Bruce.  His greatest joys come from hunting and fishing with the kids and grandkids. Performing his grandson's wedding two years ago was an extremely proud moment.
Food:  Not a sweet eater but does like ice box cookies made with butternuts.  Loves hamburger with milk gravy over boiled potatoes, but his favorite is Kathy's beef stroganoff. He's pretty handy in the kitchen and helps Kathy make elderberry jelly and donuts.
Pastimes: hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking.  Kathy comments that Bruce's garden is picture perfect and weed free!

Employment:  in high school and college, farm work, mowing, working as a yardman at the lumber yard and a custodian at a Rochester church.  Arnold's Supply, Trade Home Shoes, and as a resident volunteer at a State hospital.  After college, Sears in St. Paul then Akron, Ohio.  Returning to Preston, Bruce worked for Great Plains Supply, was approached by O B Borgen to come and work for KFIL and the rest is history!
Kathy closes by saying that she has heard Bruce comment often that "living in a small town is truly a blessing".  Bruce, you have been a blessing to our community and to KFIL. Enjoy time with your family doing everything you love - you deserve it! Congratulations!
