Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A top-performing Mayo High School student will be traveling to Washington D.C. in March to participate in the 54th annual United States Senate Youth Program.

Grace Greason is one of 2 Minnesota students selected to represent the state in the prestigious program, which involves an intensive week-long study of the federal government and the people who lead it. The other Minnesota participant is from Woodbury.

While in the nation’s capital, the student delegates will attend meetings and briefings with members of Congress, Congressional staff members. President Obama and members of his cabinet, along with a Justice on the Supreme Court, and an ambassador to the United States.

The honor also includes a $5000 college scholarship.
