This is seriously the most adorable moment that happened at Rochesterfest this weekend, if you ask me.

A Rochester K-9 Unit demonstration took place on Saturday morning at Soldiers Field Park, during the Pre-Parade Block Party. Not only was the place packed with other dogs, it was also packed with great smelling food! It'd be hard for any dog to focus on their work!!

I don't blame K-9 Riley (handled by Officer Pretzloff), for getting just a little bit excited about the nice weather and awesome surroundings. He really just wanted to play.

Riley is a two-year-old Britsh Lab, just like his brother Sarge who is also a K-9 for Rochester PD. Both of them come from right here southeast Minnesota.

Don't let his (or Sarge's) playful nature fool you, when the time comes to get to work, they are ready. Riley showed off the numerous basic commands that he knows, while Sarge proved he was an expert odor detector (when he isn't distracted by a cute Golden Retriever in the front row, that is). Sarge detected bomb making material later on in the demonstration.

A big thank you to Rochester PD for coming out! Thank you to all who said hi at the Rochesterfest Parade too!
