I took the time Sunday to visit the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.  How fortunate we are to have this beautiful final resting place for our heroes right here in Preston.  I had been planning to take a drive through since the evergreen wreaths were placed last month and Sunday seemed a good as day as any.  It was a little chilly to take photos outdoors, so I snapped a few from my vehicle.  Seeing our flag fly can make me misty-eyed, and seeing it fly among the wreaths with a snowy back-drop, well, if I had been walking, it would have made my legs weak.  Many of the wreaths have been toppled from the snow and wind, but it is still an impressive and humbling sight to think that these brave men and women served America that we may enjoy the rights and liberties  we have today. May God bless all of our veterans and this great land of ours.
