Northern Minnesota Woman Hurt in Car/Bear Crash
Chisholm, MN (Learfield Wire Services) - The Minnesota State Patrol reports a Chisholm woman was injured this week when her car slammed into a bear.
The patrol says 57-year-old Atonette Flynn was driving on Highway 169 near Hibbing around 9 p.m. Thursday when two bears ambled onto the roadway. She told investigators she tried to swerve around them, but she wound up hitting one. Flynn's injuries were not life-threatening.
The state patrol report didn't indicate whether the bear survived.
