The results of a survey involving Minnesota manufacturers were released today and they indicate a mood of optimism about the new year. The survey was conducted in November by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Half of the respondents expect orders for goods will grow this year and a third expect to hire more employees. Overall, 91 percent of those who took part in the survey expect production and employment levels to either increase or stay the same.

The 9th District Federal Reserve has also released its outlook for the new year.  Check here
