Rochester's own amateur football team, the Med City Freeze, had another fun and successful season in 2017, and they're anxious to hit the ground running again in 2018! Their new season began this past weekend in Lacrosse, Wisconsin against the River City Rough Riders. Unfortunately the team came up short and lost 10-22.

But now with their first game in the rear-view mirror, The Freeze are excited to bring the fun and excitement to the home crowd as they host the Minnesota Vipers for their home opener this Saturday, May 19 at Mayo High School. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

In fact, the team would like you to know they have lots of activities planned for the whole family before the game from 5:45 - 6:45 p.m. There will be face painting, a mini bounce house and even bean bag boards as well.

However, all the family games will be weather permitting and the team will make an announcement on their Med City Freeze Facebook page if they cancel the activities. As of right now, there's a 30% chance of evening showers, but temps should be perfect in the 70's!

All the activities mentioned above will be FREE with admission to the game.
