This past weekend was Dairy Days in Adams. Being June and Dairy Month and all, it's a town event that sticks. Though I was not able to make it to the outdoor movie on Friday night, and did not participate in any 5K on Saturday (I'm still training), there was a lot of fun to be had on Sunday.

First, I stopped for some dessert. Yep, dessert first. And I got to speak with Debbie about Paint the Town Pink. Check out the live video for more information here. Some funnel cakes and cookies for a great cause!

Then to skip back over to the parade. I got just two pieces of candy, but the parade itself was udderly amusing. There were mascots, the drumline, go-carts driving around, and the Southland Robotics Team had an impressive float in the parade

Then back to get a burger and beer, and then I stopped back for another pink treat-a big

cookie. Good thing the day before I ate a BIG Salad! So I had as much dessert at that point as regular entree. I did get to take a selfie with a big furry creature, though!

The truck and tractor pull was going on throughout the day while I was there, starting at about 11 AM I believe, so I found as much shade as possible to watch that as well.

Then, of course, I had to end my day with more dessert.

What's Dairy Days without ice cream?! I saw some royalty serving up some shakes and malts, and I sat in the shade to enjoy my blueberry malt.

Well, that was my weekend? How did you beat the heat and have a good one?
