Minneapolis, MN (Learfield Wire Service)  -- A 48-year-old Minneapolis man is accused of breaking into a downtown hotel room and trying to steal the belongings of a group of athletes from the University of Arizona.

It didn't work so well, because those athletes were members of the university's cross-country running team. When the 48-year-old suspect tried to run away, he wasn't able to escape athletes like senior Collins Kibet from Kenya.

Suspect Darren Clinton was held until police arrived. He has been charged with burglary and making terroristic threats.
