Hang the "gone fishing" sign on the door!  It's time for the trout opener! The 29th annual Chatfield Fire Department Trout Classic will be held Saturday April 16.

Before you head to the creek to catch that trophy fish, stop by Chatfield Fire Department to fill up on pancakes, sausage, milk and coffee served by the Chatfield Lions Club.  Cost is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for children.  Breakfast will be served 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.  While you're there, have your blood pressure and glucose checked by members of Chatfield's ambulance service. There will even be a silent auction organized by the Firefighter's Women's Auxiliary.  All proceeds will benefit Chatfield's Fire Department for equipment and training.

A fishing contest will also be held with three age categories and prizes.  Stop by Magnum Sports for more information about the fishing contest and to pre-register.  You can also register the morning of the event at Magnum Sports or the fire hall.

Don't miss one of the best days of spring - the Chatfield Fire Department Trout Classic Saturday April 16!
