Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who led police on a high-speed chase last spring has been sentenced to just over 4 years in prison.

26-year-old Randy Rocha earlier pleaded guilty to felony burglary and drug charges in the case.

He was arrested last May following a pursuit through Rochester’s Country Club Manor neighborhood that ended after he ditched the car he was driving and broke into a home. The husband and wife living in the residence ordered him to leave, and after Rocha refused, the 58-year-old husband began struggling with the younger man and was able to get him outside the house where they were spotted by police.

The officers, who had to use a Taser to subdue Rocha, asked him why he was trying to get away and he replied, “I got warrants.” Police later found a pop can at the scene of the hidden compartment containing methamphetamine.
