Austin, MN (KROC-AM News) - The American Red Cross is assisting over 40 people displaced by a fire that damaged a nine-unit apartment building in Austin Tuesday.

The fire was reported shortly after 7:30 this morning and took about a half hour to extinguish, although fire crews were at the scene until around noon. Reports indicate one apartment was destroyed by the flames, while the other units sustained smoke damage. No injuries were reported.

An investigator from the State Fire Marshal’s Office is looking for the cause.
