1. The I-35W Bridge Collapse

I will never forget this day. I lived in the cities, and my phone would not stop ringing. People calling just to make sure I was okay. It sent a shock down everyone's spine on August 1, 2007, when the I-35W bridge across the Mississippi River collapsed, killing 13 people and injuring many others.

2. The Metrodome Collapse

It's weird to even think of our pro teams playing in the Metrodome. The addition of Target Field and US Bank Stadium has made sports going so much more fun! It was a crazy day back in 2010 when a huge snow storm took out the Metrodome roof. People were able to buy parts of the Metrodome, like seating and pieces of the roof as a memento.

3. The Twins World Series win in 1987

I wasn't even born yet, BUT the people that were, they make sure we all know that the Twins won a World Series in 1987. Then again in 1991. So it has been nearly 30 years since the Twins have done anything... I mean, yay, we won a World Series once.

4. That time we had a wrestler for a governor

Jesse "the Body" Ventura! Who will ever forget about him serving as Governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003? Besides his governor and wrestling work, Ventura's other claim to fame is that he is the highest elected official of the Reform Party ever.

5. When it used to be Camp Snoopy

It was the coolest place to have a birthday party! The Pepsi rollercoaster will always be the best. The fun indoor amusement park at the Mall of America is now known as Nickelodeon Universe. Between 1992 and 2006 it was a Peanuts-themed park called Camp Snoopy.

6. The May 2nd, 2013 snow storm

That one time Mother Nature dumped 14 inches of snow across Southeast Minnesota. I got to come home from an incredible Hawaii trip, to snow... in May! Not only that, it destroyed the ONLY outdoor batting cages in Rochester (yeah, it still hurts).
